Eagle Valley Rural Fire Protection District
42000 Moody Rd Richland, Oregon.
CHIEFS REPORT
As everyone can see, our weather conditions are unfavorably dry. We hardly have any snowpack left in the Mountains. This means an exceptionally dry summer. I am asking everyone to be extra cautious this summer as all the current conditions point toward possibly a bad fire year. Some of the rain that we did have just helped things grow a little bit taller and with all the wind and high temps, it has now dried out. Please be aware of your surroundings and think twice about the fire conditions. There has already been an alarming amount of fires all around us. We don’t need to be adding to the statistics.
